Between 9 and 12 of June 2003 SGMN was represented at 75th Fair of Industry Technologies and Investment Goods in Poznań.

This jubilee event was held under the patronage of Ministry of Economy, Labour and Social Policy Jerzy Hausner. This fair is a good occasion to meet specialists from industry as well as from science sector, exchange knowledge and experience. Many people attract promotions of innovate solutions.

Nearly 1000 companies from 34 countries presented their offers within the confines of 10 specialistic showrooms:

The last showroom, in the one of the biggest pavilions, included subjects:

  • electrotechnics and electronics in machines and devices,
  • energetic and energy market,
  • pumps, fittings, drives,
  • metallurgy, steel industry and founding,
  • surface processing technology,
  • technology and systems for gas factories,
  • nearest transport and transport between processes in industry,
  • others.

It was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Information and the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Social Policy. It was addressed mostly to research-development units, scientific and universities. Among lots of exhibitors appeared Polish Centres of Excellence.

For the first time appeared Centre of Excellence – Sol-Gel Materials and Nanotechnology (Wroclaw). Thanks to combination of presentation of several institutions this stand was bigger and attractive. Among other things there were materials achieved by so-gel technology in shapes of small blocks, thin films or powders. They were made in Institute of Material Science and Applied Mechanics in Wroclaw Institute of Technology and in Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research PAS. Among their potential applications should be mentioned sensors, powder lasers, luminofors, protective layers, catalisators, ferromagnetics, raman signal amplifiers.

The Institute of Textile Materials Engineering in Lodz demonstrated multilayer membrane materials. Such materials characterise of excellent mechanical, protective properties (hydrofobical, oleofobical) and also the comfort of using (penetrability of water vapour, they are resistant to illicitness and easy to maintenance). From this membrane material can be made sport and recreational clothes or shoes. Also it can be used as protective materials e.g. to protect against infections caused by organism liquids (gloves for karate practice).

In this pavilion also took place conferences, seminars and discussion such as: “Industrial technologies and transportation – research and innovations”, “International Day of Technology Transfer”, “Optoelectronics 2003 – Offer from science for industry”, discussion concerning offset, or “National Web of Innovations” – discussion prepared by Centre of Technology Transfer in Wroclaw Institute of Technology. There were also pre-lectures regarding creating companies and entering upon task grants. At Polish Patent Office and European Patent Office stand everyone could be informed about getting individual rights on items of business properties.
